說母語的人，尤其是商務人士，打電話的時候說話語速都很快。下面是一些實用的小貼士可以讓母語是英語的人放慢說話的速度。

1、Immediately ask the person to speak slowly。

直接請這個人慢點說。

請對方說慢點的英語說法：報關員

1） Would you speak more slowly? 你能再說慢一點嗎？

2）Could you speak up a little? 你能再大聲一點嗎？

3）Would you speak more clearly? 你能再說清楚一點嗎？

4）Would you explain more for me? 可以為我解釋一遍嗎？

5）Please speak a little louder. 請講大聲一點。

6）Would you slow down, please?清說慢一點好嗎？

2、When taking note of a name or important information, repeat each piece of information as the person speaks。

記錄一個名字或者重要信息的時候，打電話的人說一句你就重復一句。

3、This is an especially effective tool.By repeating each important piece of information or each number orletter as the spell or give you a telephone number you automatically slow the speaker down。

這是一個很有效的策略。通過重復每一個重要的信息、每一個數(shù)字、每一個字母的時候都會讓說話人的語速自動放慢。

4、Do not say you have understood if you have not. ask the person to repeat until you have understood。

如果沒聽懂就別說你懂了。讓這個人重復一下直到你懂了。

5、Remember that the other person needsto make himself/herself understood and it is in his/her interest tomake sure that you have understood. If you ask a person to explain more than twice they will usually slow down。

記住別人需要自己的話被聽懂。確保你能聽懂關系到他或她的利益。如果你請一個人解釋兩次以上，通常這個人會放慢語速。

6、If the person does not slow down begin speaking your own language!

如果這個人還不放慢語速你就開始說你的母語。

7、A sentence or two of another language spoken quickly will remind the person that they are fortunate because they do not need to speak a different language to communicate. 如果實在是聽不清楚，沒關系，用下面語句提醒對方

3. Sorry, I didn't get what you said. 對不起，我沒聽懂你說的話。

4. I can't hear you very well. 我聽不太清楚。

6. I'm having trouble hearing you. 我聽不清楚。

7. We have a bad connection. 通訊效果不太好。

8. I can't catch what you are saying. 我聽不太清楚你說的話。

也可用下面簡單提醒法：

1. Pardon?請再說一遍好嗎？

2. Excuse me? 請再說一遍？

上列兩句都是對不起之意，但用在會話上，如果后面沒有接說明，并且語尾上揚，就是要對方再說一次。聽到這句話時就要知道對方要自己再說一遍。

3. I beg you pardon? 能請你再說一遍嗎？（此句有請求對方原諒及再說一次的意思）

4. Could you repeat that, please? 能請你再說一遍嗎？

5. Would you say that again? 你能再說一遍嗎？
